Manager, Project Supplier Developer
Greg Field supports TerraPower’s efforts to develop suppliers for the eventual traveling wave reactor. Field has more than 30 years of experience in the nuclear industry, corporate leadership, project management, technical and operations assignments, government-related and commercial activities. He served as President and COO of an AREVA subsidiary and was appointed Vice President of Project Operations for AREVA Federal Services. In both positions, he was responsible for developing and negotiating supplier subcontracts for services, testing and hardware to completion.
Previously, Field spent 12 years completing projects for nuclear energy systems licensed by both the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the U.S. Department of Energy. He began his nuclear career as a U.S. Navy nuclear propulsion officer, where he qualified first-in-class at U.S. Navy Nuclear Power and Prototype Training, and served onboard a nuclear submarine.
Field attended the University of Denver, where he received a B.S. in Physics and Washington State University where he received a master’s degree in physics. He is a registered Project Management Professional and has published and presented numerous technical- and project management-related papers in the nuclear field.
