Executive Vice President
Eben W. Frankenberg is an Executive Vice President with TerraPower where he focuses on general business management and fundraising. He is also an Entrepreneur in Residence at Intellectual Ventures where he creates and incubates new companies based on inventions originating at Intellectual Ventures.
From 2009 to 2012, Frankenberg was Executive Vice President of Corporate and Invention Development at Intellectual Ventures where he oversaw the IV Lab and Global Good initiatives and the commercialization of inventions originating out of Intellectual Ventures, including the incubation of new companies like TerraPower and Kymeta.
From 2005 to 2009, Frankenberg served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Intellectual Ventures, responsible for all of the day-to-day operations of the company as it grew from 50 to 550 employees.
Prior to joining Intellectual Ventures, Frankenberg spent nine years at Onyx Software Corporation in various roles including Executive Vice President of the Americas, Executive Vice President of Business Development, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Vice President of Sales. As Executive Vice President of the Americas, Frankenberg was responsible for all Onyx operations in the Americas. From 1995 to 2000, Frankenberg led sales and then sales and marketing for the company as it grew annual revenue from $2M to $160M and went from basement start-up to publicly traded NASDAQ company.
Before joining Onyx, Frankenberg was a petroleum geophysicist with Amoco. During his tenure at Amoco, he held various roles in exploration, project management and geophysical exploration in support of the development of oil and gas reserves.
Frankenberg received a B.A. magna cum laude with high honors in 1988 from Dartmouth College and a M.S. in Geophysics in 1989 from Stanford University.
